5 Ways to Exercise Anywhere, Anytime!


You've spent weeks (maybe months) getting all bikini ready for your next jolly. Then the inevitable happens, by the time you take that first by-the-pool selfie, you've drank your weight in wine and eaten a year's worth of bread. Hence, the bloat has well and truly set in, and now you're trying to work out how you can still look fantastic in the photo without actually showing that bod you worked so hard for. Firstly, relax. You still look fabulous! Secondly, just because you're not in your usual environment, it doesn't mean you can't give yourself a quick shot of self-confidence-boosting endorphins with a sneaky little workout whenever you're away from home. Here's how you can do it without having to spend time in the gym:


1. Pack some resistance bands and walk around your hotel room like a crab for a few minutes. Seriously, a 20-minute booty burn workout will have you feeling great in no time. You can squat, deadlift and lunge to your heights content. Throw in some fire hydrants and some donkey kicks to mix it up a little, and in no time at all, you'll have the lactic acid flowing.


2. Go for a brisk walk. Not a leisurely stroll or an Olympic event-type walk, but a quick walk that works up a sweat. There's no better way to explore a new place than on foot, so throw on some comfy footwear and start pounding the pavements.


3. Get in some laps of the pool. It isn't easy to do if it's full of splashing kids, but if you can find the time in the day when it's quiet, jump on in and swim for your life: a great workout and a cool down all in one.


4. Want to exercise but still have fun? Hire a bicycle or a paddleboard. Both offer a great workout and are fun family activities to boot, so you get to keep fit while still making magical memories. Winner, winner!


5. Do a bodyweight workout from the comfort of your room. Design your own or use that free hotel wifi and choose from one of my many no-equipment workouts on YouTube. You can choose from low impact, high impact, and body part specific. Whatever mood you're in, there will be something to suit, and within 20 minutes, you'll have worked up a sweat and feel the burn!
